Dr. L. Thomas Weir has been practicing dentistry since 1988. Dr. James Thomas III joined him in 2003 and now has become a partner of James Island Dental Associates. Our office is located on James Island, convenient to West Ashley, Downtown, Folly Beach, Johns Island, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands.
Dr. Weir and Dr. Thomas accept most insurance, so please bring your insurance cards and forms with you. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. We also offer Citi Card, and CareCredit, which allow no interest payment plans (upon approval).

Several years ago, I experienced the drill hitting a nerve of which the pain was unforgetable. Since then, I have always expressed my "fear" of the drilling out part of work in my mouth. I ask for extra novocaine (I feel like I have to remind them) on every visit for work and Weir and Thomas comply with my requests.
